I have these two as allocated to Chesterfield, not aware of any for Inverness in the near future either, althoug there are five unallocated 15716-15720, but like any time they can be swapped around

Mmmmmm interesting. LL should have a spare LF decker I think but ME obviously doesn't need one.

would make a lot of sense for LL to get a spare LF for 300 like. it'd be the only low floor service between Carlisle and Maryport, plus with the hourly frequency, its a bit sh*t to have to tell a wheelchair passenger to wait an hour for the next one!
routes 38, 554 and 600 cover the Carlisle - Wigton part of 300, but they're step entrance routes as well! 38 does sometimes get Darts if they're available, but B10Ms and Oly's (or even coaches) are on quite a bit!

So it would seem. However these two extra Scanias could be spares one for ME (they don't really need a spare) and the other for LL. Or they could be for another route entirely or a depot that isn't ME or LL.

They might be for morecambe as they have got the preston college contracts from preston bus.

a Marshall (must have been 33169, but never know with Lillyhall these days!) and 42565 went up towards the bus station a few mins ago. 1 is Moorclose Circular 50 and 1 is Seaton 47. not sure which is which! but both of these are advertised low floor routes, and said Vario is listed on the official fleet list as disposals! or is 42565 going to be one of the Vario's coming back to service? ;)

under disability laws all buses with more than 22 seats used on public charging services must be wheelchair accesible though! hence why First Devon and Cornwall have replace there ancient fleet with some rather nice new buses!

thanks ross :D always croping up the old' Jonckheere's, they wont go without a fight  are the remaining ones still in the transcumbria livery?

52626 and 52627 are now will Carlisle and are in 685 livery. They have been retrimmed inside and look quite tidy!
52628 is now in plain corporate livery and sees use on the X4/5 and other routes.
52629 is now at Preston Frenchwood and awaiting use on the X61... it is still in TransCumbria livery!

2017 for Single decks to be accessable, 2019 (I think) for Double decks and 2022 (again, I think) for coaches.

Absolutenly nothing special today; my brother saw both 14245 and 16664 and commented on how nice the Leyland sounded. FWIW, he's the most anti-bus person ever

P reg coaches DallamLad.
16352 is probably still hanging around as 18153 is now in reserve.....

Unless it has a twin, 18153 isnt in reserve as I took it out to Blackpool this morning, saying that was probably still half asleep!!!
52529 is still, as stated by Ross, in Trans Cumbria livery parked in exactly the same spot as it has been for the last 2 weeks, just behind it the first glimpse of 16328. Looks to have been newly repainted and adorned with Stagecoach in Cumbria fleetnames. Whether this has a tacho could determine its use at Frenchwood. Seem to remember last year our 2 Joncks went on holiday over the summer to Chorley, allowing some of their school deckers to come to Preston for our 68 and our tacho deckers to be used on the X61. Consider this year the 'winter' timetable is still in place and the situation maybe different, but I'd expect extra capacity will be needed on the through runnings to Blackpool when the school summer hols kick in. It may even seen 16352 stay until after the summer peak, replacing single deckers on the 61 on busy days. With 16 less vehicles at Frenchwood than this time 12 months ago, the coaches should at least stay as spares there for the summer.
Interesting that Morecambe have won Preston College contracts from Preston Bus, would think that Morecambe would want the ones around the northern quarter of the region, which are run by other operators rather than PB. Lots of dead millage as they couldn't even be diagramed in with other school contracts.

I was skeptical of those few movements on the fleetcard as well Chris. I think Preston's 'internal' movements and the region movements got mixed up.

(I'm talking about 18146, 18152 Res -> PR, 18153 PR -> Res)

They are changing the 40/41 timetable in august, they might extend a couple of journeys to the college or run them dead to/from garstang garage.

Seems a pretty good idea, saves that long walk up St Vincents road which I remember when I went there!

I haven't seen anything today, I'm stuck in the house revising for my History exam! :-x

peak time Moorclose Circular 50's are missing out Derwent Howe Industrial Estate (for Morrisons) & Workington Train Station due to heavy traffic. from Honister Drive, they are turning onto Harrington Road, then up Vulcans Lane direct to the bus station. Moorclose Circular 51 is still serving both the train station and Derwent Howe Industrial Estate. the train station is also served by 30, 31 and 300 as usual for railway passengers heading into town centre.
