Thank you @Annetts key for this as it does a good job of explaining what happened last Wednesday. I'm not technically-minded, but I am very confused about why a set with half its GUs out would be sent all the way to Plymouth, especially given the note about the fuel level being monitored in one...
Oh blimey! Thanks for that. I assume passengers were let off at Plymouth station? Almost four hours late really doesn't sound like any sort of fun.
It's all still in the platform as of 17:53. I imagine it'll all go back to Laira but it's taken a very long time (not a dig at anyone - I imagine...
Hi all,
Please do let me know if there's already an explanation for this on the forums. 802022 has been in platform four at Plymouth for quite a while and looking on OpenTrainTimes and RealtimeTrains shows it was supposed to be on 5C96 to Laira last night just after midnight, but it's still...

This just in (just before 2pm) from BBC News - it's a live page so I've quoted the top-of-page summary as it is now, at 3pm:

175007 (I assume - couldn't see the number) and 175114 are out today (12/11/2025) - currently on 5Z12 0626 Plymouth - Plymouth (via Newton Abbot and Penzance). RTT says it's just 114 but there's a 175/0 on the front of the set...
They've also just mentioned on Radio 4 - and I note also at the bottom of that article - that his surname is now hyphenated. So I suppose he can't complain about losing his titles when he's gained an extra bit of punctuation. ;)

There seems to be an issue with it reporting on these services as it's not the first time I've seen RTT say it's reported at Saltash before it's left Plymouth, for example. (I know that RTT only shows the data it's given so it'll be an issue somewhere else, not with the site.)

175114 and 175007 out together today (11/11/2025), and currently on 5Z40 0626 Plymouth - Plymouth (via Newton Abbot and Penzance). They've just got back to Plymouth (24 mins. late) and then on to Penzance: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:V54518/2025-11-11/detailed
