The seats aren't the best for travelling to be honest, they're all rock solid. I think most line up with the window though. Don't expect to see much though as there is a light shining down from the top of the window frame!
I would love to be able to get priv tickets online! But would probably be open to a lot of abuse, even from staff getting them for other people.
Some people just get along with others more easily than some, I'm probably the same as you haha.
I just generally buy a ticket, much easier and I don’t feel comfortable asking for a free ride. If I get on at an unmanned station and the guard doesn’t charge, I end up just buying a ticket anyway at the other end to get out the gates. It is nice of the guard to do that, but just to save on...
Thalys allow for fip tickets to be bought online for Dutch and Belgian staff, had access to the site to check prices a few years ago.
But to be honestly, but the time you add the £10 booking fee for staff tickets, public tickets are about the same price or cheaper. Got Amsterdam for £35 next...
Qatar made everyone on the flights I was on to put their seats upright for meals. That was a few years ago though. But before I recline I always check what's going on behind me, as others have said it isn't always nice for the person behind you.
They do provide eye masks that were useful for getting a wee bit sleep, but my issue is that I'm not going to sit the whole journey with them on just to avoid the light.
First experience of a MKV, I'm in the seated section. Only boarded about 10 mins ago and still not left yet (it's 0015, and I'm on the lowland heading north). What is going on with these horrid headache enduring lights at the top of the window frame? Seems to be a trend these days that every new...
Had my first Azuma experience, got to admit I really like the seats (I was in first class). But I'm the odd one that I hated the seats on the HSTs and MKIVs. Only complaint is the lighting is just too bright, bit that's common on all new stock these days, not too good for headache sufferers. Not...
I've took screenshots of the live chat I had with them and they did say they would, but I'm not sure they will. Either way I have to book another flight for that day anyway, will just wait and see if I do get the money back, but if I don't then at least I'll get the original flights refunded so...
Yeah you were right they wouldn't book me onto another airline, but have said they will refund my new tickets that I purchase... We will see if they will.
Hey all, sorry to hijack this but looking for advice. Just had an email from easyJet, my flight from Berlin in January has been cancelled. Just wondering where I stand on this, I can change the flight to the previous day for free but I cannot travel that day. Would they rebook me with another...
