There's still a big history from the Cornwall area in his early life that people in the know have clearly decided to keep to themselves. I don't blame them.
I agree. He should probably let it drop unless he has a perfect story in his own life.
.
Or..... Rhys Hand has been mentioned in a negative way by a good many people, some seeming to go right back to Cornwall in his teenage years. Some people might feel that this is an opportunity to attempt...
The travelling public want reliability over everything else. Trentbarton has been dismal on the X38 (and many other routes too) and Arriva has finally decided to sort out the reliability. You can't have a jointly operated route when one party fails to fulfil its obligations.
Fresh availability...
Yes, as did many of us reading it!
If ever there was a bus manager that needed to be hauled up before the authorities then, at last, they nabbed him. His history goes way back to his teenage years.
Trentbarton should just give up on the X38, as they did on Nottingham Pronto. They're not the quality company that they used to be and need to get the rest of their operations better sorted out.
I think I'd rather have a reliable service, as Arriva has been achieving, over the 'Really Good Bus Company' that hasn't been bothering - and now thinks a bit of branding is necessary. Hardly the key point is it ?
.
Odd that Trent can operate a revised X38 at x15 frequency. They couldn't even regularly put out just their 2 buses on X38, leaving Arriva to cater for most passengers. How are Trent suddenly able to allocate 5-6 buses when previously they couldn't run just 2 ?
They haven't had enough buses, of any type, at times recently. It's only the new deliveries that have eased their situation.
How many buses have been withdrawn versus the new ones in service ?
The X38 domination by Arriva is largely as a result of regular poor performance by Trentbarton. You don't have a jointly operated route when a 'Really Good Bus Company' often fails to run their trips.
It's quite right that Arriva should now operate the route - and Trentbarton should politely...
The Trent X38 seems to have suffered from a lack of sufficient buses (as on other TB routes) for rather a long time. Arriva has coped better and looks to have been taking a greater proportion of passengers on their jointly operated route.
When one party seems to be left to sort out the problems...
The number of *voters* driving cars, lorries etc massively outranks the - comparatively - smaller numbers of train users.
I think we know which way many decisions are likely to go.
