    Betuweroute - best photo locations?

Yeah, perhaps I should have made that clearer. Included it for interest, as it‘s not something you really see in the UK

    Betuweroute - best photo locations?

Sliedrecht in 2017. The last one is a nearby moving bridge with no wires where the trains just coast across.

    Betuweroute - best photo locations?

I've linesided at Sliedrecht. Quite enjoyed it, a few viewpoints, strong sun can be challenging as there's a path/road on the N side of the line. I had some photos up on another forum but they don't show up any more.

Which are the best and worst units and stock for Aircon in Heatwave?

A Southeastern Javelin the other day was so cool it made the hairs on my arm stand on end. And an EM 810 was pretty good end of last week.

    Forum loading issues?

Similar slow loading here, maybe 15 secs or more for a page to load, and it's normally pretty much instantaneous. Yesterday had some much longer load times. Other sites are fine. railforums.co.uk cache/cookies cleared, no difference. ios/Safari on two different devices, same slowness.

How many railway swing bridges are there?

The site dedicated to movable bridges has a search facility, but not apparently by what goes over the bridge. https://movablebridges.org.uk/Default.asp

How many railway swing bridges are there?

Are you including lifting bridges as well as swing and sliding ones? The King George V Bridge, the big one over the Trent at Althorpe (near Keadby), used to lift, but is now fixed. It also carries the A18 road.

    Motorail services in the 1970s

Spent a few too many minutes searching online for photos of cartics in Motorail service, and found very few. Kind of surprising. Meanwhile there’s a great selection of scanned Motorail brochures including routes and timetables at Andy Gibbs’ site: https://andygibbs.zenfolio.com/f56164866
