Please use this, I hate to be a snob but your "Txt Spk" hurts my eyes. I understand it's uses on an SMS message as you have 160 characters but you can use as many letters as you like on the forum! honest!
Hello, I was at the Penta in Reading on May 30th - applied for Oxford.
Still have heard nothing. I did mention on my initial application that I was contracted with my current job until Feb 2014 but could leave if given 30 days notice, would that have made much difference?
No news being good...
Best of luck for next time Scorchy, preparation is the key! Your application was good enough to get to the assessment stage so that narrows you down from the applicants without the obvious requirements......
700 Drivers? with 300 applicants for each available role? That's 210,000 applicants! Wow!!!! Thats more than the whole of the UK's permanent Armed Forces.
I'd drop my job at a moment's notice if I was offered a Trainee Train Driver job. Work may have a grump about it but sod them!
Thanks for the info FGW_DID, I appreciate the scale of the applicants that the staff have to work through. I'll just bide my time.
Just thinking... If I had failed the assessments would I have heard by now then? I can accept that I may not have had a perfect group bourdon but if failures have...
I'm in the same boat chaps. Was at Reading on the 30th but have heard nothing back. Would at least like to know if I have not been successful so that I can move on with my life!!
The HR lady said that we should know either way within a fortnight.....
Carlejo,
Hint of sarcasm there?
Aviator,
I'm not a pilot, just groundcrew who was given the opportunity to have a go in the trainer jet (with full controls in the rear seat) so once we were safely over the North Sea I was then allowed to take controls, pulling loops & barrel rolls. Quite a...
TPA:
The good pass is what I'm hoping for, I hammered Chris Gresham's group bordon program for days before my assessment and this was a massive help, the two older guys behind me hadn't even heard of the dots, both were talking afterwards about the letters test that was on the PDF file that was...
Was at the Penta on Thurs 30th, I feel that I had a damn good go at it, I was a bundle of nervous energy during the dots but I did many, many more than the two guys sitting behind me. Think I smashed the Glop bit and got to 28 on the dials with none wrong. Was the quickest eight minutes of my...
Is there a way I can find Chris Gresham? Having attended the FGW trainee train driver aptitude on Thursday (30 May) I think that his program helped me immensely and I would like to offer him a few pound for the assistance that his program gave me.......
