Few Coastway stations still have them, although some stations have had them replaced with new flatscreen monitors - still show the same info though. Havent been replaced by the new LED boards (although some new style ones have recently popped up at a couple of stations).
Seen it posted on here a bit. Think its stupid myself, why spend billions re-electrifying lines and converting stock to AC when other lines in the UK arent electrified at all ?
Totally missed out anywhere in Southern England !!!
Marshlink, GOBLIN, Reading - Basingstoke, North Downs, Uckfield Branch and the Salisbury "6"/West of England lines could all be electrified with the stock (which isnt that old) being moved up north to replace the older units. Its just filling...
Without knowing about it, at a guess they might not of had a huge amount of buses, so it might of been better to turn them there and get them back along the route to Bolton, reducing the wait for the buses.
No northbound service on the Hertford Loop because of a tree on the overhead lines. Also a tree on the overhead lines at Silver Street affecting GA services to Enfield and Cheshunt.
Oh and an earlier tree on the line at Warminster. All fun and games down in the South too !!
Reported on NRE as vandalism, so putting 2 and 2 together it looks like something may of been thrown from a bridge. Train involved is the 17.19 Kings Cross to Hull service - shown as terminating at Potters Bar on the East Coast website.
Just to link The O2 Arena (North Greenwich Arena for the Olympics) to Excel - also easier as theres the interchange at North Greenwich with the Jubilee line to Stratford and into Central London.
This, away allocations until the stand is complete (next Spring apparently) are reduced and will be in the area where the away seats are - which isnt nice.
Shame as ill miss the terrace there, was literally bouncing when i was there last season !!!
Just also saw that were at home against...
My Brighton are away to Hull which isnt awful, but we finish up at home to Wolves - so thats a good last game.
Disappointed that we have Bristol and Cardiff games on midweek evenings as i really wanted to go to them.
Looking on the FGW journey check website, there are 1 coach trains running on the Winsdor - Slough line - have they managed to get a 153 up from the South West at short notice ?
You seem to of totally missed it where i said it could of easily re-ignited, things can happen. Pictures were taken of bits of it still on fire so people were pretty close to it. Chances are they could smell the burning and easily see where the fire was (i mean from the pictures, its not exactly...
No, im going by all the evidence i have seen over the internet and from what has been said on here and on News articles.
So that means it cant re-ignite and still isnt a danger ? Hardly a sensible decision doing that.
No PA announcements were reported (probably down to the loss of...
This is just going round in circles and going absolutely nowhere. Passengers should follow what train crew say, or wait for assistance from rail staff and/or emergency services. Just walking along a railway line without any assistance from rail staff/emergency services will just require more...
Well they were told what they should of done by a member of railway staff, just some decided they knew better, ignored the driver and walked unattended up the line. Said it before, what if the power was off and a train ran into the people or if someone stepped on the rail - those same passengers...
