Propping up is the key word. Which constituency is Newton Aycliffe in? Sedgefield, Bishop Auckland or Darlington?
All went Tory in Dec election. Cd make political sense to keep plant going there.
Definitely over the top to have 2 158s on that service. How many other services were cancelled or short formed by Northern as a result? Inability to diagram correct units to booked services is one of the big failings of Northern.
Nice pic!
Anyone have any info on 305?
The performance of the Paragons has been pretty good so far. 305 cd spend alot of its time not needed in service! Any info on future plans for Hull Trains? Article in recent edition of Rail hinted at operating new routes.
I'll pass on that label but the beauty of those first generation dmus was that you cd get a great view from the front seats-provided the driver didnt put tne blind down!
Drivers and conductors used to work 2 shifts each per day on Hull to Scarboro line. One unit was outstationed overnight at Hull. Now itruns up from Hull at 0533 so I think its all Northern now. Change was in 2018 IIRC.
Didnt Northern units( or whatever its name then) sometimes go to St Rollox works? Ok not a passenger service but in the area. They also went to Kilmarnock for repair?? Not sure of these points. Can anyone enlighten me?
