I have also had the email and won't be using the Mango app. There will be a big slow down in journey times as a result in a big increase in cash fares being paid.
There are two further possibilities:
1) They will realise they are handling more cash and slowing down journey times and will...
Still be a few Trent routes with revised services - Connect Hucknall no Sunday buses (except C1/2). Comet Hourly with no Sunday service. Sixes still no Belper shorts. Skylink Nottingham still no buses to Sutton Bonnington & Loughborough. Good to see the other routes returning to normal though...
Is there no card system available with their new ticket machines? Not everyone wants everything preloaded on their phone and I regularly saw people turned away when trying to pay contactless due to lack of signal!
Amberline always empty when I see it in Kimberley/Nuthall on its current 90minute frequency.
Papplewick Lane has the C2 every hour 7 days a week for tram connections at Hucknall. Bestwood Village has 9 buses a day on the 528 to Bulwell etc for connections.
Council 510 approaching Toton Tram at 930am today empty. i4 Stapleford heading Nottingham 1245pm empty. Rainbow 1s passing me in Nuthall around 130pm-230 reasonable loadings. Rainbows 1s again in Nuthall around 630pm reasonable. Of note at 628pm the 555pm ex Nottingham passed me at Nuthall...
Service ran from end of October until presumably late March - so nearly 5 months.......
I thought it might do better but when you consider they didn't even have a timetable up at McArthur Glen Retail Park for it (still showing the old 54 in late November) then it probably was rather doomed.
At the Nottingham end it wasn't carrying many passengers full stop - mostly low single figures, if any at all, so I would be amazed(and delighted as it stops on my doorstep) if it was reintroduced,
Well its goodbye to the X1 then:
From Derbyshire County Council: https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transport-roads/public-transport/news-notices/bus-service-changes/forthcoming-changes-to-bus-services.aspx
From Tuesday 1 September 2020
Most Stagecoach Chesterfield and Yorkshire services will be...
We said initially that the 10minute frequency on the Rainbow One was unnecessary - they could have scrapped the Heanor shorts. Now regularly seeing busy buses - no available double seats this morning when my Mum got on to go to an appointment in Nottingham. The return bus - an Alfreton - at...
It's always been about Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire - the original bus war strayed well beyond the City boundaries and right out to places like Selston etc.!
I was completely unaware of new commercial bus service in Bingham - Vectare 93/B every 1-2hours between Bingham & Grantham. Partial replacement for Centrebus/Call Connect 3 in Grantham which are suspended.

Years ago on the Council funded Sherwood Arrow in Notts the last bus from Retford terminated in Tuxford and returned back to Retford at 22.22hrs. At 22.26hrs the through bus from Nottingham arrived at Tuxford en route to Retford. 2 journeys in 4 minutes covering the full route at that time of...
Probably replaced a stop using one from somewhere else - Rainbow1 suddenly appeared on the stop within the IKEA grounds - it was a while before it was corrected.
Nottingham City Transport are running a full service except for Night Buses from the 28th June. That actually means a reduction in the very early Sunday Morning service as current timetables are running 7 days a week.
Hourly Northern services at Ilkeston, Langley Mill & Dronfield have been bustituted - Langley Mill has one Southbound & two Northbound EMR trains still calling, Ilkeston & Dronfield slightly more.
Trent Barton improvements from Monday which include return of Amberline & Rushcliffe Villager. Still no bus service at all to the Belper estates which amazes me!
Notts & Derby reintroducing 71-72-73 from Monday so some service for more of Belper.
Hulleys of Baslow massively increased the frequency of their Peak District services from today.
Nottingham City Transport reintroduced a substantial number of routes yesterday.
Stagecoach East Midlands increased the frequency of many services today with some back to full timetable (eg 27, 99 in...
How are they going to reopen secondary schools full stop - especially in rural and out of city areas? I would guess 80 pupils board the 10-15minute frequency service buses at the 4 bus stops on our estate each morning to go to the secondary school in the neighbouring town. If social distancing...
My 1969 East Midland timetable book shows route 5 from Worksop, which had short workings to 'Rhodesia', and in the back of the book contains times for the 'Booth & Fisher' service from Worksop, including short workings to 'Wales'. Rhodesia & Wales are about 6 miles apart.
