I think that this will be one of the longest, which I spotted last weekend and is due again tomorrow morning. I assume it's an East Coast HST that starts at Ferme Park then stops at Kings Cross, nothing special there. It then goes to Heaton in Newcastle, that must be a nearly 300 mile trip...

Just checked in to see the progress of our train to see it stuck north of Peterborough. The Peterborough board is showing delays for several trains. A passenger on Twitter has complained that their train is stationary north of PBO. As I write, it has moved on and stopped at the station.

I think that Hull Trains are arranging the transport. The 1905 from KGX to Leeds is due to leave 2 hours late but will terminate at Wakefield Westgate, 10 miles short of Leeds. Why? If the train is ending it's days work, it will actually pass through Leeds station to get to the depot.

I've been looking at comments on Twitter and seen pics of chaos at Kings Cross. I think the affected train belonged to Hull Trains and they have cancelled their service this evening and advising pax to use East Mids from St. Pancras to Sheffield to then pick up road transport.

Now looks to be the 20:00 KGX to NCL. I've seen it pass through Peterborough and Doncaster and is now approaching York for it's first stop.

Looks like I was proven correct in the end. Our train is currently sat in Leeds station. It took a much longer route than I expected and it wasn't carrying any passengers when it arrived. After passing Neville Hill I now expect it to reverse back up to the depot.

Looks like I was a bit wrong, I just assumed that it could not be an HST. I was not tracking it for the past hour or so, but when it stopped at Stevenage I realised that it was probably the Lincoln service. Should be interesting to see where it goes next.

After several days rest we are seiing some action at last. After arriving back from York my guess was that it would be heading here to Leeds. That seems to be the case, leaving KGX at 19.03 arriving in Leeds at 21.20.

I'm sure it switched from kmph to mph mid-journey. I missed it's arrival at Kings Cross but it had been running about 15 mins late due being caught behind a HT train and I think there problems at Retford.
