I've just been trying to look up the prices of some rover and ranger tickets on the National Rail Enquiries site and all the fares are showing N/A or -.
I haven't looked up every one, obviously, but I've tried loads including the ALR and they're all the same.
Any clues as to what's going on...
Apologies if it's already elsewhere...
New timetable now available for download at:
http://www.networkrail.co.uk/aspx/3828.aspx
Some of the tables are now in landscape orientation rather than in portrait that's been the norm for so long now. 29 and 39 were the ones I've noticed so far...
I've got to go to Brighton tomorrow for work from TM.
Going, no prob, 158 to Soton, change onto a 377.
Coming back it's the XX:03 to Fratton, change for TM or XX:33 to Soton, change there for TM. (I'll probably make the 16:03)
Am I correct in thinking that the XX:03 off Brighton is...
A number of stored class 92s are being tested and returned to traffic.
A test train has been running up to Carlisle and back with up to 4 92s on the front of a long rake of EWS coal hoppers.
92011/25/27 were on it last Friday.
On the bus coming to work this morning and 150 921 (3 car) passed beneath me at Lawrence Hill.
I couldn't see the side numbers, but I think it's pretty safe to assume that this is 150 121 renumbered, to make it easier to distinguish it as being a 3 car set, rather like FGW have done with the...
EDIT = now confirmed as 18 August
Railway Magazine (online) gives a date of 19 July 2012 for this event, but that's a Thursday!!
Anybody know when it is going to be? There's nothing on the DRS website at the moment. I'm going to be coming back from Scotland on Fri 13/Sat 14 July, so I was...
A friend asked me to look up train/ferry times and fares from Bristol to Rosslare/Dun Laoghaire.
The FGW and Arriva sites don't even come up with times, let alone fares, just "no tickets available".
The NR site offers times but no fares.
I've tried a selection of dates/times, but nothing is...
The Network Rail site is still showing the 'old' national timetable which expires in a couple of weeks. By now the 'future' timetable is normally available. Is this delayed, or am I just not finding the right page on the website?
Most TOCs are now displaying the new timetables on their sites.
As I was on the bus to work today passing Lawrence Hill, 158960 passed beneath. I couldn't see any of the side nos. This is possibly the first of the 'new' 3 car sets to be reformed as a result of FGW acquiring more 150/1s.
I've been looking up the possibilities on the National Rail Site for Anglia Rovers.
The map shows 3 zones, but not all of the various tickets available refer to these zones.
The 3 in 7 costs £30 but makes no reference to the zones.
The single day ranger likewise makes no reference.
The 7...
I did a NE Rover back in the summer and have only just realised that one of the journeys I made was of dubious validity.
The journey in question was Huddersfield - Sheffield via Penistone.
At the time I was looking at the Northern Rovers leaflet from Northern Trains to check I remained in...
When planning a trip to the North East I came up with some bizarre routes suggested by the National Rail Enquiries website, but I've just come across this (last service from Carlisle to Whitehaven) which takes the biscuit. It declined to offer a fare though...
21:51 Carlisle [CAR]...
