Network Rail Timetable

The Network Rail site is still showing the 'old' national timetable which expires in a couple of weeks. By now the 'future' timetable is normally available. Is this delayed, or am I just not finding the right page on the website?

Most TOCs are now displaying the new timetables on their sites.

It's available now but just billed as 'Complete Timetable' and also says it's valid 11/12/2011 to 13/05/2012. I thought it was supposed to last until 12/2012.

Well, it's sort of available in multiple files with sections missing.

I bought the GBTT book in London today; it too is dated until 13th May 2012, but rather strangely carries a note near the front saying that due to the Olympics the Scotrail timetable will be valid through to 8th December 2012...

So basically it looks like the timetable department think that everything will change again in May except for the bit furthest away from the Olympics, which will be valid all year because of the Olympics.:roll:

It says this at the beginning - clear as mud !!

This is actually the same dodgy text as in last year's edition.
Dates changed of course, but still Dec-May not Dec-Dec.

Had to save it as multiple pdf files.

I didn't realise there were some Olympic events taking place outside the London / South Coast area! ( Blame the media coverage for that; it only ever talks about London and Weymouth and the anti cycle race protests from residents around Box Hill. )

Oh believe me, we've got it here too (the Ricoh Arena is hosting some of the football for some reason—evidently that wasn't enough incentive to get the NuCKLe rail project going).

Me too. Are you using Preview on a Mac to view it? It seems that Network Rail have produced this latest timetable as a PDF "package" instead of a normal PDF file. I have had to unwillingly download and install Adobe's rubbish Reader software to view the timetable. Preview and Skim don't seem to be able to read it.

A Mac? Me? Never!!! They are the Devil's work! PC all the way.

I have all the latest Adobe bells and whistles (I think?), but still only get that one page when I click on the 'Current Timetable' link.

I'm using Adobe X reader at the moment on the work PC and it is all there just laid out a bit different from last years. I just scroll down through the preview pane on the left to the table I want and click to view that table.

I quite like the way it is laid out now, a bit easier to navigate.
