Yes, the Any Permitted ticket allows travel via Woking to Farnborough Main. My guess would be the via Woking ticket is SWT's attempt at some revenue abstraction from FGW?

I know from experience you can book your chosen seat at Virgin ticket offices - you can look up your advance tickets details online and then book at the ticket office though you may need to be quick!

No issues getting them at Woking or Guildford in recent weeks for me - though you do have to be assertive you would like them issued at the ticket window and patient while they find it on their screen.

I've tried FGW Live Chat to ask about super off-peak tickets, however they do not know what the supplement is!

Hi All I have a 1M9D Woking -> Guildford season that expires on 9th August. I wish to exchange for an annual instead. Guildford could not perform the changeover because the system will not allow the origin and destination to be the same as the original ticket. Any advice? Thanks

There is a £14.40 Advance ticket on the 07:12 service via Bristol Temple Meads and you could combine with a Super Off Peak Single via Stroud for £17.10. Total £31.50. There are Advance tickets for the via Stroud return journey but the small saving is probably not worth the loss of flexibility.

Due to Virgin Train's railcard easement your daughter with be fine with the Off-Peak ticket and her 16-25 Railcard. At the time she is travelling she must stick to Virgin for her entire journey.
