Why is it only showing Preston to Chorley on the registration though ??
And is it four journeys altogether or is there smaller trips inbetween?
As for the two solos, i dont think they will be missed by many, but i got quite used to them and would prefer them now to certain other buses!
Chorleys destination screen was suffering from 'technical issues' and has been working on and off the last few days after a couple of weeks of inactivity, it was certainly up to speed today
I know its not Stagecoach related anymore, but was looking around Preston bus new fleet numbering system (Scanias, both double and single deck starting 30, Olympians 42, solos 20 Tridents 40 etc) when I caught sight of 31215 in service, distinctive because it was in fact a Leyland Lynx, thought...
Revised routes and timetables for services 3, 3A, 10 & 18 in Chorley
Following feedback after our recent service changes in the Chorley area, Stagecoach is pleased to announce the following changes which will take effect from 3rd October 2011:
3, 3A Chorley - Adlington - Blackrod

Spotted it on the VOR sheet for today, must be at Cowling, with the schools not being in, theres not really a reason for anyone to be down there, apart from the odd standby bringing up a bus, so i dont know any more info on it.
Also spotted 47472 buried away in the lanes at Stockport last night..
Yup, thought it was..
and i did say 16847/8 .. honest.. someone must have come along and rubbed out side of the 8 to make it look like a 3 ... :p
i know it's a cliché, but i had actually slept since i saw them..
?? 16624, and yes 16640 has returned.. was on 125's today covering for Scanias on routine maintainence things, better to get them all done in the holidays :)
And a couple of odd sightings, ex Stagecoach Fife Oly's 16347/8 (i hope i got that right, its been over 24 hours since i saw them) were...
20794 was working back at Chorley yesterday on 109's and a random 33xxx was in Chorley Interchange at 8pm awaiting shunting back to Preston..
As for the PB Lynx's i assume that they are now on sale thanks to the outcome of all the tribunals/appeals/whatevers where, as previously reported...
Yep, that'll be right, we spent all that money and time putting in loads of new panels, and getting it sparkling, only to ship it out for the summer and have someone else enjoy its freshness.. just hope it comes back somewhere near the condition its in now! on the other hand, you can keep 20794!!
This is just my thoughts and indicates no other prior knowledge, but..
Was the last harsh winter the accelerator that killed the chassis of the unfortunate Volvo's, they are getting old now, some 13 years i think someone said, and during the last bad spell of weather we had there was copious...
Probably 15681, thats the only one I've every seen on the 40/41 in Preston, about half a dozen times now.
And while i remember, i forgot to mention something i spotted last week, driving around the back end of the bus station, i nearly crashed into the barriers looking in disbelief after...
Well, i assume it was 16649 and not 14469, yes that bus needs replacing due to a rotting chassis, and yes it was in service yesterday, as i drove it..
Its like having an advisory on an MoT, the chassis is ok for now and within legal parameters, but the next time its going to need an MoT you...
Spotted that in Preston today on the 40, nearly jumped out to get a shot of it in rollers whilst it still had them, but some passengers came on and blocked me, by then i was due out and the next 125 was behind...
Replacements for rotted Oly's, coming in just in time for the school summer holidays.... To be fair, i think that might actually be planned, then Chorley can have time to do whatever is required to them in order to make them ready for the new school year.
What's the latest on another 33xxx...
