16655 moved from LL before it's chassis was checked; clearly it deteriorated further at Barrow.

16447, 16652, 16654 and 16734 on 300. 16654's door was stuck open!!! well, the side next to the windscreen was!
20903 on short 300 again.
20129, 20473, 20945 and 47024 all been on 50. 20473 is out there now, 47024 ran back to Lillyhall.
47007 and 20931 on Seaton.
47062 (dead front LED yet again) and 47616 on Harrington.
53336 and 53337 on X4.
53338 and 53339 on X5.
52628 on SL Ltd Contract, with 20923 and 20473.
16647 and 34616 were on 30 and 31 with ALL 11 E300's (marked down on the calendar!). then 22596 went and died out, being replaced by 20195
20910 on 53.
20436 and 20994 on 600 then staff shuttles. 20436 done a run on 48 as well, it struggled off the annexe kinda. it done a "kangaroo hop", most common with learner drivers starting out in a petrol car

That is a very rare occurrence these days. Noted 16647 as the only step entrance on today :D (Until 22596 disgraced itself!) Looking forward to seeing 17017 on the decker slot. ;)

This is just my thoughts and indicates no other prior knowledge, but..

Was the last harsh winter the accelerator that killed the chassis of the unfortunate Volvo's, they are getting old now, some 13 years i think someone said, and during the last bad spell of weather we had there was copious amounts of salt thrown down on the floor, which led to lots of salty slush being sloshed around..

With washes being frozen and this stuff just lingering on the buses, did this make things 'rust' more easily, the regular steam cleaning , whilst washing it off, may also have inadvertently caused more damage, by literally 'rubbing salt into the wound.'

Have they had the pot-hole effect, which for those who didn't know was water getting into cracks, freezing overnight and expanding, causing cracks to expand and leave them prone to further damage easier.

I know what it has done to my car, having had to brave the elements myself getting into work.

Discuss :D

i'm told 33174 is possibly returning to North West in the next 2 weeks. it has apparently been covering for an accident damaged Solo in Manchester, of which is nearly repaired.

also, Carlisle's 33161 has had its Bright Tech LED unit replaced with a Bright Tech Dot Matrix  with the amount of spare Hanovers around in NW, i'd have thought a Hanover would have been used, but it hasn't been the case! IIRC, Carlisle now has the most buses in service to still have Bright Tech Dot Matrix's! (6 Leyland Oly's, 6 Volvo Oly's, 1 Vario and now 2 mini Darts).

Lancaster have 14195,20133,20463 and 21007 that are bright-tec apart from 14208 which has rollers all the rest of the fleet have hanover blinds.
The healthy heart bus should heading up or at workington.

34616 on 50.
47006 on 51.
47007 and 47059 (still sounds like a dog yelping) on Harrington.
20919 and 20962 on Seaton.
20903 on 53 with blank display.
20905 on short 300.
16447, 16651, 16652 and 16654 on 300.
16734 on SL Ltd Contract.
47616 flying around as staff shuttles all afternoon, with a few catch up runs on 50, and the last 48 of the day.
the Profile for 1620 X4 didn't get back to Workington until 1640 (timetabled back in at 1605-ish), so a B10M of some description (possibly 20910, of which was flying around on shuttles after 600) went out at 1620ish to cover it.
20913 and 20923 on 30 and 31.

962 now makes the slipping belt noises!

Could be a problem if 910 has gone out, as it should do 301 tonight! (Won't be back till eight)

16638-40 and 20794 at least are spending their summer holidays at Frenchwood. Had the joy of sampling 20794 yesterday and 16339 for the last couple of days and they put our B10M's and Olys to shame! 16640 has been freshly repainted.

Yep, that'll be right, we spent all that money and time putting in loads of new panels, and getting it sparkling, only to ship it out for the summer and have someone else enjoy its freshness.. just hope it comes back somewhere near the condition its in now! on the other hand, you can keep 20794!!
