I don't know if anybody can help me but, I have recently brought some tickets for my wife and son, from Shrewsbury to London and used the print at home option.
When you do print at home tickets you need a name of a lead passenger. I put my wife down (using her maiden name)...
You are right but, I haven't seen then used in a long time. Sometimes a special sign will be used if a disabled person in a wheelchair is traveling near the door.

Im currently riding on 158822 (1638 holyhead to cardiff) from wrexham down to shrewsbury. It feels like this has defanitly seen better days.

There are also instances where you do not need the actual card that was used with the booking. My work head office is based in manchester and i live in shrewsbury. When booking travel through work they used the work credit card using the trainline business and i can collect the tickets with any...
Youre right. it's on the route map but, i have just looked at the ATW timetables (1 and 4) but Stafford isn't mentioned anywhere except from the maps on the front pages.
