    I hope no one else has said this already, but I recommend reading the special 'why we need HS2' feature in the Modern Railways April Magazine. It is very detailed and about 50 percent of it explains how other places not served by HS2 could benefit.

    The article says that One reason for changing the logo was that there were three stripes representing the three countries that Eurostar runs in. 'Restricting' the company. Three Stripes = Three Country s? How many of the ordinary public know this anyway? Ma be I'm a one off...
