    General Knowledge Quiz

Thanks - but I think that Martinsh was closer (I actually meant it was the wettest place). I have question waiting though if Martinsh doesn't mind

    General Knowledge Quiz

Coincidentally there was an item on the Jeremy Vine show today on Radio 2 about people who hold their own funeral before their own death - so I guess that might indeed be the answer

Attempted fare evasion was mentioned on the TV series last year about the NYMR - not rife, but certainly not unknown

Sleeper Train Stories BBC Radio 4

I was on the sleeper to and from Inverness last weekend (excellent journey despite the ageing stock BTW) and in the lounge bar conversation led to the strange story of Geoffrey Howe's trousers - nothing like that has happened to me though (thankfully!)...

    GWR Travelling Stores Vans

I seem to remember there was a "Q" diagram (runs when required) on the Southern in the late seventies where they used an old unit to move stores about. I was a guard at Fratton at the time, but every time I was due to work it from Barnham, it never ran so I can't tell you any more about it

TRIVIA: Heritage railways that run trains on NR lines

No - it is completely separate (they use opposite sides of the same platform with a short run round loop on the C&W side) - there isn't even a access point, any visiting locos are delivered by road to Wallingford.

And here is one of the class 31 running around when I was there in August. My social secretary suggests that this other picture should be my profile picture - no idea why :s

    Railway General Knowledge.

The Railway Man - I've been struggling all day, knew it was Eric something - Eric Lomas or Lomax? The trains now departed - I have both slow train books on my reading pile bookcase, but can't remember the author (and going upstairs to check would be cheating) Night Trains - Mr Marston or Mr...
