Be really disappointed if they manage to find extra carriages for the Northumberland Line when weekends on the Durham Coast Line is like being packed in like sardines. If Sunderland are at home it can be difficult to get on anywhere after Thornaby!

Depends on the issue. Numerous trains operate in service every day with faults/issues. Just depends on whether it is safety critical etc.
