    It basically means a train that starts at a single origin but the path splits at a point and goes to location A or location B as required, so like the letter Y.

    There are strategic freight paths they are probably looking at switching on. Either that or they will just Y path with something else.

    Bicester to Aynho is sparsely signalled with 2 aspect, its effectively just two signal sections between just north of Bicester to Aynho. One from Bicester to Ardley tunnel, then one from there to Aynho Jn.

    Basically, and even that isn't particularly easy depending on where they need to be as it isn't always halfway along as most peoples immediate assumption will be.

    Wolves is only two tracks to Wolves North Jn, and I can't see where you can fit another platform on the up side. Your other idea was proposed around 10-15 years ago for Brinsford.
