Sheringham had a through service to and from LST for a while with 150 units
Can't imagine many people doing March (don't remember if the sparse Manea service at the time was on through LST services) to LST via IPS
When Abellio ran the Enfield / Cheshunt service and the Spurs had a match that could involve extra time there were paths allocated and crew / unit diagrams issued for end of games specials that could be altered if the game went into extra time. eg. 5G02 departs ENF at 22:00 unless games goes...
Remember as well we only have one side to the story, we don't have the Despatcher (not the Conductors) side and don't know if they had been provoked by the MP'S actions verbal or otherwise into a wry smile perhaps.
The train in question has a ten minute turn round at NRW and a six minute...
I should have been clearer if you apply for a job as I did and the terms and conditions stated that Sunday working was required but was outside the working week you would be expected to work them (we don't have to even if there is no cover if the Sunday falls within a period of leave) however if...
There is nothing wrong with staff refusing to work overtime, if a company rail or otherwise can't cover shifts without overtime the employer is in the wrong not the employee if the advertised service can't be provided (rostered Sundays a different matter in my opinion, if you take a job where...
There is nowhere really in the immediate station area for rail replacement buses to stand between runs, it is ok to drop off and then depart immediately, but that does not help with waiting to replicate the scheduled departure of a train. basically any move if permitted by the bus gate rules has...
TFL in there wisdom decided a few years back that passengers wouldn't understand a mix of fast and all stations trains on the met hence all slow off peak, same reasoning results in most cases buses have to run the full length of the route all day even if the demand isn't equal throughout the route.
JC regularly gets included in Twitter complaints re the BTR line perhaps campaigning to help his constituents re Cressing loop would have helped reduce the complaints.
Whilst we are on the subject the Southminster line needs loops at Woodham and Burnham for the same reasons. don't suppose we...
Indeed As I said I believe the OP and the timing evidence provided backs that up. too many ticket examiners are programmed to believe everyone is dishonest and treat them as such without looking at the evidence. I wouldn't have charged the OP anything but you can understand why people do get...
Whilst I believe the OP has made an initial mistake and believed that they would be ok after seeing the VWC staff member. with a ticket timed and dated from Crewe it couldn't be anything other than a mistake both trains at Crewe would been in Virgin livery so not as if the OP had been expecting...
Perhaps by the time it opens it could accurately be called the LATE Elizabeth Line, on a serious note I think the planned name is an now an embarrassment
Lincoln road crossing in Enfield is a location that when the crossing is unstaffed the wicket gates remain unlocked and you can't see if a train is approaching without opening the gate walking towards the line and looking.
