    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Why do they need to be like current Scotrail stock and be reduced to 3 car? Both those factors are irrelevant on the E&G which is where any sourced stock will be used.

    Lines where ATO could work

It's being considered for the Partick bottleneck although it is likely to be more than a decade away and will be linked to the wholesale replacement of class 318/320/334.

    Is Camelon station worth retaining?

If you walk past an opportunity to pay then you are quite clearly intent on avoiding payment. An awful lot of people are in for an awfully nasty shock regarding this on this route in the near future.

    Is Camelon station worth retaining?

A huge factor in the usage of Camelon station not considered yet is the extremely close proximity of Forth Valley Sensory Centre. Many of the users of this facility travel to and from it by rail and many of their numbers will not be included in station usage data because they are not issued with...

They aren't, and they aren't affected by the imaginary rule either.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Yes, I'm still waiting on an answer on that thread too and as I don't have access to a Scotrail "CTM" I am asking you although your response suggests that you are somewhat lacking in your knowledge of the rules and have found yourself out of your depth.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

This is nonsense, what if two 158's split? What difference would it make whether the stock was gangwayed or not?

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

The current express is more about adding capacity than anything else. Both it and its balancing evening return were shoehorned into an already very tight timetable during the Firstgroup franchise as a response to growing demand. The new electric timetable is going to be based on a development...

Such a service has never existed, since the Motherwell service began it always terminated at Cumbernauld.

Its been suggested elsewhere people are buying the Airdrie tickets and using them on the E&G anyway!

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

And there we have the very reason Scotrail can justify near 25 quid return for a 50 minute journey ;)

Pretty sure all new schemes must have In cab CCTV for DOO operation now, which is why 334s were drafted onto this route in the first place.

What would you use on the Fife circle route to replace the Fife circle set if you pinched that for the E&G?

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Most of the 6 or 7 passengers who actually pay for full price 1st class tickets turned up, tutted loudly whilst shaking their heads dramatically, then trotted off to the booking office for their refunds.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

365s would not be able to operate DOO on the E&G for the same reason they would not in Ayrshire. Their are no cameras on the trains and no platform infrastructure is provided, therefore, the only safe method of dispatch is with a guard. There is no room for maneuvere with that.
