Class 378's have CSR, NRN and GSM-R radios, the ELL core section will have GSM-R coverage and the rest of the route is CSR, and the North London line is all on NRN.

I'm pretty sure LU can do pretty much the same moves as LO do on the DC Route. I have known LU trains to reverse at Kilburn High Road (it's not a station normally served by LU) and has 3rd/4th rail to allow for this, rather than taking the junction indicator on approach, gets a main aspect...

When Euston was re-done it's pretty much (if not all) LED signals all the way to Primrose Hill tunnel. Likewise the west london line has a good mixture of normal 3 aspect signalling and LED

That said, i've been authorised to pass a main aspect and a mid section gpl at the same time, and despite my best efforts to keep the conversation professional the signaller was really slap-dash, in place of signaller out at the end he said "cheerie bye" :D Which raises another possibility...

LED ground position lights and main aspects are a lot easier to see during the day, far less prone to bleaching from sunlight. Blindingly bright at night though.
