They still run on the early morning departures from Cauldwell, can't remember if they're ECS to Luton or Bedford though. We've lost a lot though so they are a bit rarer.

377 502 and 377 508 are all dark blue with the new Thameslink logo on as well, currently sat in depot as an 8 car ready for the mornings departure.

Think that may have been the one I saw being pulled through Bedford station by a rather large diesel while I was waiting to take a unit.

That's the one, went straight from Bedford to Cauldwell depot.

319 would have been in the Thameslink livery.

From memory, all of the stage 2's that were organised when I went through had around 6 people on them.

Seems a bit backwards having the DMI then the MMI as it's the DMI that overall decides if you are offered the job (well that and the medical)

I wouldn't worry too much, it's not as bad as you may think. The bit most of the people on my course found the worst was the MMI, the computerised tests are all fairly easy, you get a practice at each one anyway.

From what I can remember you have to use both at all times yes, personally I found it very easy. Just don't go at it too fast or too slow, they are measuring accuracy but also speed so it's important to get the fine balance to keep control but at the same time keep it moving steadily :-)

Best bet will be to wait until the date comes through and either reply to the email you've had or ring them to confirm.

The above is why I was happy to take a Trainee DD role rather than wait in the talent pool. For me personally it was a big increase in pay and a good starting point, so was a no brainer, especially as I applied for DD and Mainline.

If it's trainee train driver then it would be mainline, basically you'd be on just shy of £24k then after roughly 14 months of training you should be fully qualified which means you'd go on to £47k, there's no gradual increase.

I sent my application off on 13th November 2014 and got an email confirming I'd been successful in being selected for assessment centre on 2nd December 2014. Think they're pretty busy at the mo sorting paperwork out for those of us that are starting next month so might be a bit longer maybe...
