I don't think so. TfL fare revision page says "Later in January, pay as you go (with a contactless payment or Oyster card) will be accepted for travel to Gatwick Airport."
On brfares.com there are numerous Southern & SWT Advance fares. They exist from some suburban London SWT stations such as Surbiton, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Thames Ditton and Hampton Court to Southern south coast stations between Ford and Glynde including Littlehampton, Worthing, Preston Park...
The EOI for the SW franchise came out a day before a bidders day for the franchise competition. There is a bidders day for the West Midlands franchise competition on the 10th, so on the same basis as being the day before the EOI may be out on Wednesday.
It's very clear from recent franchise agreements and ITTs that DfT expects Advance tickets to be used to smooth demand across train services. With DfT putting a clause in franchise agreements that capacity planning provides passengers with a reasonable expectation of a seat on off-peak services...
VTEC have a HST at Craigentinney that doesn't enter service until 0930. Maintenance, pathing and roster schedules permitting they could start this back from somewhere north of Edinburgh. Unfortunately, looking at RTT, the 0930 becomes timed for a 225 in the timetable change so it could only be...

Yes, but some forum members have reported that it occassionally is not being recognised by bus validators.
You'll need an alternative method of paying for the Z1 fare.
Agreed.
The default fare is via zone 1 so I suppose it wouldn't be accepted as it be trying to charge a Z1 fare which it...
GNWR have now applied to convert the contingent rights between Queens Park and Euston to firm rights. They say the HS2 timetable working group has shown the services can be accommodated.
The Pop PAYG product seems to hold a cash balance and calculate caps as you travel. It deducts the maximum fare on entry and adjusts the fare charged on exit.
