Unfortunately didn't need 66200 myself either but that's the luck of the draw you get sometimes. Anyway, an excellent tour did all the track it said it would and back early into Euston. Some pics here: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/gbrailphotos/sets/72157629089839789/
Got a unexpected surprise last night (9th Jan) waiting for the 18.00 Moor street - Leamington Spa and 150105 rolls in! Just like old times and totally wedged as well! :-)
Some 172 door problems this morning as 172345+332 were sent empty to Tyseley this morning rather than work my train to work the 07.58 Dorridge - Stourbridge Junc. Explanation given was there was a fault on the doors. 172331 was out with 342 on the next train to Birmingham so just 222 to get into...
Yep, like old times at Dorridge last night (1st) with 150106 arriving on the 17.25 Stourbridge Junction - Leamington Spa just as 150109 departed on the 18.23 to Snow Hill!
Even though 150's were working all Snow Hill Line trains until Monday 5th Sept, at least 150108 & 126 had already moved to FGW and were off LM books around early July I think.
As I commute daily into Birmingham and the first occasions I travelled on the former 150009 & 017 as 2-cars were on...
The only 172+150 combination I have seen was 172345+150107 on the 07.56 Dorridge - Stourbridge Jn on 15th Sept this year. That was unusual though even in September. TYseley must have been short of 3-car 150s that morning.
Looks like 150001 is having a rest as the 06.45 Worcester - Dorridge is a 172+1(3 again today.
150109 was out on it's own on the 18.23 Dorridge - Snow Hill last night though (28th).
150001 out on it's own again today on 06.45 Worcester - Dorridge etc
Also the 18.23 Dorridge - B'ham Snow Hill has been a 2-car 150 for the last 2 nights didn't see which ones though but either 105/106/109 or 125 I guess?
Thought I'd post about 150s remaining with LM for a change. :-)
150001 on it's own today on the 06.45 Worcester - Dorridge. No 153s spare on Tyseley this morning either when I passed.
In my experience most of the main tour operators do (not BLS but at least they state this on the booking forms). I have found Spitfire Tours most accommodating for this, but Pathfinder and UK railtours are equally as good. As the others say, I wouldn't bother if it's a VOSE train though, it...
I agree, I reckon it may do the same diagram as this week at least until the timetable change, which is only another 2 weeks anyway. Don't quote me though just a wild guess
