Yeah they have a date pencilled in. It will only be 1 maybe 2 units and I don't think it will be the E&G to start

Overall i would say a big improvement. The seats are alot harder but are strangely more comfortable. The unit is much smoother as well. It's just as quick and brakes just as well as the 380 but it doesn't feel as harsh

The 380s windows should be locked at all times unless your stuck on the main line and the power from the wires are off. The driver can alter the temp by +/- 3 degrees. 385s are totally sealed no windows on the unit open. The 1st class area is larger than the 1st class on the 170

    Class 365s to Scotrail

Not sure of reliability but good enough units for a stop gap. Spacious inside, good heating and air con. Quick and good braking. They will be in service soon I don't think it will be long until you see a 385

    Attitudes to new staff

I can only speak for my place of work. The majority of drivers are great the new guys willing to help and give advices on past experiences. In my place most don't care about delays even as experienced drivers. You do the best you can and If your late your late. In my place trainee and drivers in...

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Imo there is ONLY 1 place the 385 will run to first and that is queen street. The E&G is the baby of the routes, that's the main one and everything else will play 2nd fiddle to it. I also don't think it will be a year until we see the 1st one out now. I would be surprised if it's even 6...

It's a question for your CTM. Yeah there is a car park that staff use. But you would need to be issued with a car park pass and I believe there is/was a waiting list

I think the components on the 385 are the same as the class 800 so it could do over 100 easily

Most of the e&g still have the same 4 aspect signalling that's been in for years

They have advertised for qualified drivers for a new depot in Scotland. Can anyone on here tell me a little bit what they are like to work for? Rosters, average turn' rest days etc. And if anyone knows where the depot will be. Thanks
