    Football

It is a bit of a stinker IMO. The banking isn't anywhere near steep enough, once you get to the triple lettered rows in the ends you're so far away from the pitch that you can't see anything. The space between the stands and the pitch is beyond ridiculous.

Ah 2006 - that game still haunts me, although Hibs that day were minus a recently departed Gary O'Connor (he'd been sold to Lokomotiv Moscow a week before), a suspended Derek Riordan, an injured Scott Brown in addition to some clown in Goals. I've been hearing that the second semi was poorly...

No, Murrayfield despite being in Edinburgh, being a far better stadium and being far larger is a big no, it's a 10 minute walk from Tynecastle, besides Hampden is the National stadium, and cup finals no matter who contests said final it is always held at Hampden (apart from when it was being...

    What would have happened if...

As to what I've said, I highly doubt that any of that would have happened even if APT was successful, but what is above is an ideal world

    The United States Thread

I see we may agree to disagree on American Football, but the Super Bowl was a cracker, had Gronkowski been fully fit and healthy I suspect it may have been a very different story, but oh well. Honestly think that the Patriots will go all the way and win it this coming season, Brady wants a...

    The United States Thread

I'll probably find myself participating in your threads about American stuff, as I have always thought about what it would be like to emigrate. Over the past year I've grown to like American sports, primarily due to my dissatisfaction with Sports like Association Football (same old teams...

    Busy First/Last Trains

I can attest to this especially after coming back from gigs in Glasgow.

Class 323 issues - the Reprise!

I don't think they were ever meant for anything other than journeys less than 20 minutes. They were manufactured by Hunslet, the last trains from them before they collapsed. 466s were built by Metro-Cammell

All Line Rover Trip (7 days)

Summer for sure as to what time I don't know, probably before August, so possibly start of July or maybe mid June. As for purchasing the ticket, does it have to be done in advance or can you do it on the first day of travel?

All Line Rover Trip (7 days)

I was thinking mostly youth hostels and staying outside of London, I've a fair amount of money set aside for this trip and a few other things. I thought about doing it a couple years ago, but couldn't scrape together enough money. Out of interest has anyone ever taken either sleeper on an ALR...

All Line Rover Trip (7 days)

First of all I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, so mods do please feel free to move this as you see fit. This summer I am planning to do an All Line Rover trip using a 7 day ALR, obviously I know the cost of the ticket but I'd like to know how much money I should set...

Which lines are you hoping to do in 2012?

I hope to do as many as possible over the summer next year - hoping to do a 7 day All Line Rover trip - out of interest, how much money would you reckon I would need on top of the ticket price in order to survive for 7 days constantly on the move away from home?

Grand Central no services new years day

I suspect the trains run on boxing day into Glasgow as it's the sales and there are a lot of shopping centres in the centre plus Buchannan Street/Argyle Street and a lot of folk use the train to travel in. Folks in Bathgate would be more likely to use the shopping centres in Livingston than trek...

Worst livery on a UK train?

I think that the original NX Scotrail Livery was actually pretty good, especially compared to the Barbie blue rubbish that replaced it. I actually really like the new Scotrail livery, particularly after I rode on 170434 last Thursday on the last train from Glasgow Queen Street. On some trains...
