Do not reply to this correspondence. They will likely send a follow-up email as well when you don't respond and you can let us know what they say at that point. However for now and I stress do not respond. Should they send anything further do not respond to that either until you have got advice...
It would be better if you stop thinking about this and just let it time out and drop off. To give it some context it basically happened three banking days ago.
I do think you are worrying too much about this and you just need to be patient and that matters take their course.
The scheme has come to an end now and I think it may catch a number of young people out today who may assume it will continue for the rest of the school summer holidays.
On my routes in Merseyside I have not seen any anti-social behavior that I wouldn't normally see as a result of the scheme...
I think the driver of the supermarket delivery van failed to realise it was a railway crossing (I'm assuming the gates were left open as it's impossible to mistake otherwise) and proceeded without seeing the train or realising they were about to go over train track. Either that or they thought...
Looking at the video above only, it appears to be clear if the gates are closed. They act as a barrier / deterrent.
The lady on the train who spoke to the Liverpool Echo described what she saw. Namely the supermarket delivery van approaching the crossing without stopping and she preempted the...
Although I've travelled on that line many times as I live a few miles outside of Southport, I've no idea what the workings of the crossings are. I know when I've been on a service I've heard a siren going as the train goes through a crossing.
I've no idea what gates and signage are there for...
If you could please state the journey being made it would be very helpful in being able to advise.
However to answer your question, yes, an Anytime Day Single (and possibly other walk-up tickets depending on the journey) can be used for the remainder of the route on which services operate on a...
This is what you need to do. GWR customer service. You are claiming for the difference in fare between standard and first because the train that you traveled on did not convey the advertised first class accommodation so you have to travel in standard.
If it was not possible to purchase the ticket before boarding the train then I would inform customer relations if you feel inclined. I say that because it sounds like a refund was issued at the ticket office when changing trains and the correct fare charged.
That said, a delay was encountered...
You have answered your own question.
Plus bus is an add on
The other examples are where something else is included in a through fare on the one ticket.
Next time you get a rail ticket with plus bus you will see the price printed on your rail ticket is without the plus bus add on.
Yes. OTT and RTT record the initial train as cancelled and the next available train as arriving 23 minutes after I should have had the first train ran.
Travelled with Northern. 2 tickets on the split train didn't call at changeover point bought one was a zonal ticket so permitted combination.
Train cancelled so traveled on the next service. Arrived at destination just over 15 minutes late.
Claimed delay repay. Received email saying...
You could pay the penalty fare now a bring the matter to a close.
You can also appeal. You can pay the PF first and still appeal as if successful you'll be refunded. Or you can appeal first and pay the penalty for later if you're appeals are unsuccessful.
It is extremely concerning that a member of staff has taken issue with a braille sticker being on a disabled person's railcard, given this will have been applied by the disabled person's rail card office. Additionally they attempted to remove such a sticker. LNER definitely needs to be made...
