    Supermarkets near/on stations

I'm sure Bournemouth leads out to an Asda - I'm convinced I've been in it but I may be completely wrong or in a proper daze that day. Weymouth has something near by, an Aldi? It may have a Tesco, I've never been but I've seen something.

Stations which have coffee shops in them

Any Preston fan knows that there's one in Waterloo, as of course Graham Westley was sacked in Carluccios. Preston and Blackpool have 'em too. Crawley arguably has one, depending on what you call a coffee shop. I think Brighton may have one too.

Best places to go trainspotting in South London?

The most fun (albeit not in the south) is naturally Stratford International, the Eurostars make lots of noise and give a great whoosh but not much for trains. Try Surbiton for lots of fasts, Clapham Junction was ace when I went and there's potential in Vauxhall too to be good.

Blackpool Transport - Mercedes Benz Citaro demonstrator

To be fair they all look like they need replacing in Blackpool. We'll swap you our okay ones in Preston for these swanky ones when we get them!

    The worst transport interchange.

'Trying to cross the busway' that's why there's zebra crossings and a back exit. I was there today and most of the 74(?) stands still in use had a bus in them. Nobody uses the subways any more. The one to where Brewsters once was has been took over and the other one to St. John's is pointless...

    Football

Just been to the 'Splash' at Deepdale. The tributes to Tom Finney have been incredible, loads of clubs have paid tribute but if you can leave anything to represent your club and pay tribute to a legend then it'd be incredible.

    School detentions

That seems fair. Obviously some of the teachers won't adhere to that but at least school seems more lenient than when you were there! I think the rule is "just don't get referred" nowadays.

    Met Office issue Red Alert

The motorways to the Channel Tunnel should be fun on Friday morning

    Cross country voyagers

At tables yes. And the staff only ones with high voltage but you can't use them.

Weather related disruption - Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014

We're virtually cut off in Preston, very limited railway services, bus services suspended (albeit not reported on the site yet for some reason) and lots of road closures all over the shop. I can see Preston station being closed as to the south it immediately crosses a high bridge if it hasn't...

    A community created rolling stock!

A B&M bargains and my favorite couch duplicated as seats on board wouldn't go amiss.

Weather related disruption - Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014

Neither are on the WCML! However, Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Piccadilly are open. The whole line north of Preston closing imminently. I think only Northern and TPX would operate anyway as VT are stuck south of Nuneaton.

    Football

Leyton Orient 1 - 3 Bristol City at full time. I'm gutted that I'm not in Preston for our home match against Orient on Saturday. I reckon that despite the fact that Nathan Clarke deliberately tried to break our Beavon's leg, and for that matter gave him concussion, he won't get any negative...

    School detentions

Never had one, and I'm now in Year 11. I think that's pretty good going to be fair. Pupils can be kept behind until 2/3:40 (dependent on the day) and after that some of my teachers say it's a criminal offence! I'm not sure on that though - however whole class detentions are completely banned in...

    What's Your Woolworths Now?

Mine's a Next now. It's really hard to recognize Fishergate now in Preston, Woolworths was really distinctive.

    Train Survey 2014

I've just completed the survey myself now. Pretty good survey, obviously some unrealistic parts (I doubt we'll see jungle gyms and the like on UK trains for many many years to come!) but it covered a fair few issues with room to add your own complaints. I wouldn't mind seeing what other people...

    Being given the finger?!

I've done a mighty two recording trips and got a wave pretty quickly during my trip to Levenshulme. It's the luck of the draw I guess, some people get horn blasts after horn blasts *cough*Northallerton*cough* but some get nothing for times on end!

Any Shrewsbury fans here? You've just got our best midfielder, congrats.

Strangest looking passenger you have seen

On the tube I saw someone dressed up like someone out of an MMORPG. He was coming back from a gaming event though.

    Preston Trampower

Can we not wait until the Fishergate area is redeveloped first? Only then will trams be able to run so I reckon we need to cross that bridge when we get to it. I reckon it will happen, just will only truly come to light in a few years when it's fully possible.
