Taking photos at Waterloo station, is it illegal?!

When it comes to signing in at Waterloo. Network Rail are a bit tricky infact more tricky than Liverpool Street --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Been there 11 times now. Signed in no bother and got on the platforms. One supervisor does give out a hi viz jacket. Again it really...

The viewfinder keeps opening and closing and flapping around and I think its loose. its nothing to do with the screen its the whole thing on the side that opens and closes loose. Metrolink ticket inspection increase?

both metrolink and t&w metro operating very similar ticket check procedures i.e. inspectors revolving around the system and checking at stations. The only differences are the fines. At least metrolink staff do smile when they see your ticket :D

Had problems taking pictures of the railways?

Always tends to be light rail/tram systems that feature people who are camera shy. T&W metro is worse for camera shy folk

Had problems taking pictures of the railways?

On Friday night in Manchester I got yobsworthed rather than jobsworthed I should say. Was filming some trams at st peter's square metrolink and a skinhead bloke sitting behind me went oi to me, asked what I was filming and told me to get a life. He thought i was filming people and he didnt like...

    Tyne And Wear Metro

I have lost count with the amount of lies in them videos. Cos of that pointless photo policy I see metro staff as a danger to enthusiasts. I never see a smile on a metro staff member for starters.

    Capturing from Mini DV

I used to record with a sony dcr hc51e. A couple of years ago that broke while I was recapturing all my mini dv tapes. The tape heads in the camcorder broke and I believe it would cost a bit to get it repaired. Would I still be able to re capture my tapes if I bought another mini dv camcorder...

Filming on the Tyne and Wear Metro system

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLQ3VtFo0xw Did that video a month and a bit ago with me camcorder. Plenty of footage of the refurbished metros and wasn't challenged once. Had one of my m8's with me to keep watch on the passengers and staff incase any of them tried to cause trouble. Don't...

I spoken to him and he isn't banned he says that if he doesn't take photos on metro property for 6 months then a metro manager will take him out on the network one afternoon and also his penalty fare was not for taking photos he accidentally bought a 2 zone day ticket instead of a 3 zone at...

    Photting on the T&W Metro

A few staff including one or two supervisors are strict but they are fine as long as you ask first. To be honest it is my least favorite station and I try not to photo/video there now a days unless a grand central or freight is due in.

    Photting on the T&W Metro

Incase you didn't know crossover you would of been allowed to photo/video at Sunderland station because that station is owned by network rail and managed by northern rail and so Nexus/DB Regio doesn't have any control over photo/video rules there. You would of had to ask at the supervisors...

    Photting on the T&W Metro

Then again the staff are also to blame because all they do is just encourage enthusiasts to fight back and keep taking photos/videos. The idea of a camera is if you see it, take it. If a camera is not been used then its a sitting duck. I don't think coachalex1996 who I presume your on about...

    Photting on the T&W Metro

    Photting on the T&W Metro

Rarely I have problems. Not had a problem since March 2011. Really Nexus/DB Regio have a massive misunderstanding about general photography/video and enforce a lot of pointless red tape. Anyway have you sent anymore e-mails and had any replies from Nexus/DB Regio.

    Photting on the T&W Metro

Thanks m8. Nar I just turned up and videoed straight away. However I no longer use my camcorder because there was always a good chance I could get bother off some of the passengers which can be just as bad as the staff. I use my ipod touch now because of the very small lens and almost invisible...

    Photting on the T&W Metro

Their policy is a load of old crap and also be careful cos theres a number of people on the metro who are very camera shy and theres plenty of kids to cause problems and so one might have a go at you if you focus too much on a subject. I hate the metro now a days cos its always a depressing...
