I took Flixbus from Paris to London and it went on the Eurotunnel rather than Ferry. I am sure the timetable said Ferry.

The prices are high on NX and Flix on the Scottish services to England too. I think the pricing model has changed. The coach used to be the last minute option, not anymore.
