Seating looks a lot better. The current seat covers are absolutely awful, on some services it’s been to the point where I’ve seen passengers refuse to sit down because of how filthy they are. If only they had gone for the moquette from the start.

At the current rate these strikes will presumably have a big impact on local northern town high streets on the run up to Christmas. I for one will be doing my shopping online this year for the first time rather than on the high street because of the strikes.

I hope they don’t give the 139 a new livery. I think it’ll look awful in orange, like a moving pudding on rails.
