I think Hither green is staffed 24/7 there’s an office over on platform 5, if you needed the loo you could have just knocked at the office and asked them nicely if you could have used the facilities.
that “extra 10 seconds” can mean the difference when signallers make decisions as to what train...
After arriving at Margate, would the stock run ECS to Ramsgate for servicing? (Toilets tanked up, water replenished) etc? The advertised 2 hours should be enough.
I've just been looking at this document https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/662871/sef-itt-attachment-a-train-service-specification.pdf
if this is the same one, it now says from December 2022, not May, but can these changes be brought...
Yes he is employed by a TOC , I've heard the call to the signaller and it sounds very rushed to me, having read the log also, 3 members of staff gave the train a full inspection before it set off. "sparks from under one of the rear 5 wagons" was quoted. Just enough time for the driver to go all...
That is correct, 5 were selected for testing (901/906/913/916 and 928) in about 2017, it didn’t last long and by mid 2018 it was discontinued, 916 was the only unit I drove with it working, sounded like the old days post delivery!
I saw 707006 on test at gravesend yesterday.
When I’ve had Medicals they’ve always looked in ears, to check wax and general health of the ear (drum etc) I guess some medical companies do things differently.
They look in the ears before they undertake the hearing test. They probably would encourage use of ear drops or syringing/microsuction if it’s a really bad build up. They’ll test them anyway, if hearing isn’t great because of excessive wax they’ll have you back after clearing out the ear canals.
I suspect the 707 fleet will replace the 465/2s and all of the two cars. Numbers add up perfectly.
465235 to 465250 is sixteen four car units which totals 64 carriages. Then you’ve got 43 two cars which is 86 more.
64 + 86 = 150
