Had the interview bang on two weeks ago

Just got the email telling me I was successful for the Feltham ASC G7 job. Like a lot of people I have to say that every word of this forum has been worth its weight in gold and I have to thank everyone on here who have taken their time to help me and others get to this point. Over the moon now...

How rare would you say it is for an external candidate to be selected over an internal after an interview?

I’m a dispatcher at the moment (for Southen) and that experience seems to have got me several interviews in the pipeline, just hoping one works out!

Now the long wait for the result of my feltham interview. Anyone else been interviewed for there?

That gives me some confidence I’m 19. Just the worry that (understandably) any interviewer for a job like this would equate my age with lack of experience or immaturity and so on

Just out of interest (I know they aren’t allowed to discriminate based on age etc) but what’s the youngest signaller everyone’s come across?

And are they all scored in with the rest?

In interviews is there much in the way of small talk (eg tell us about yourself and your career so far/why do you want to be a signaller?) type generic questions to start with or do they just go straight into the safety vision/NTS stuff?

For my interview next week, would it be appropriate for me to show them any documents that support my examples for the NTS? I’m a dispatcher currently and by pure good fortune I had my rules re-assessed by my CDM today and mentioned I was going for signalling. Passed my refresher assessment...

I’m trying to remind myself to stay calm and keep breathing but I’ve just offered an interview for Feltham ASC next week!! Can’t believe how quickly it came through but I doubt I’ll be sleeping between now and then

Anyone heard back from the recent Feltham ASC or any of Wembley jobs up recently?

I applied this job and have also submitted a video interview, any idea how long the process is from here or anyone heard back after the video interview?
