I submit all my claims online. And while I've had the odd claim resolved in 2/3 days most are around the 3 week mark. Payment usually follows 3 or 4 days after that. ScotRail is often virtually instant, and usually within 24 hours. Payment is always instant.
Depends on what you mean by promptly! LNER take, on average in my experience 10-11 days to decide, and then payment isnt immediate - I usually get the compensation 3 weeks after the claim. Although CrossCountry is even worse....
ScotRail are running a competition, the prize for which is an annual season ticket on their smartcard. There does not appear to be a restriction on which two stations you can choose - so which would give you the biggest prize?
Elgin to Dumfries?
Has Kilmarnock started work on them yet? Feels like that was announced ages ago.
12 by December 2019 feels both ambitious (given current build rate) and pathetic (given original plans)
Yes. thats for my season ticket, though I assume it applies for any ticket. As I use it to get to work, I cant really just decided to travel a different day.
My understanding of the rules is that you can claim if you INTENDED to make the journey. I will sometimes catch a bus instead, if a train is cancelled, and will claim DR.
Leaving aside the regular services which were cancelled - what more COULD ScotRail realistically do?
I suppose it could get a couple of extra HST sets, there could even be a use for them outside of the fringe, eg when events are on at the Hydro, major football/rugby matches etc.
But then...
