Those of you with "82" in your sigs...

Indeed they were and oh yes it was So they were still numbered wrongly  as DEMUs, the vehicles should have been renumbered in the 60xxx series. ala class 220/221/222 :-D although at the time the only spaces available with sufficient room would have been the 41xxx/42xxx/43xxx series with...

The only DVTs that count for haulage were the buffer fitted HSTs that worked on the ECML. Southbound they were like **** off a shovel.:shock::shock:

The prototype HST 252001 power cars were 41000/1 and the trailers were numbered in the coaching stock 10xxx 11xxx and 12xxx series. Would have thought the production run would have carried on from 41002 but 43002 was used instead.

To be pedantic they should not even be referred to as class 82/1 and class 82/2 or class 82s. but would should just really be referred to as DVTs as they are coaching stock. No one went around calling SKs class 24/25/26 or BGs class 80/81. The rolling stock library responsible for issuing...

Fusionrail it doesnt matter if anyone asked you to take it off or not - quite simply Hi vis clothing is for staff use as in the enthusiasts guidelines and can cause confusion. So when another party go to Nuneaton and are refused access they will all know which group to blame.

    Paington Pudden and Riveria Rat

Would have thought that would be the case - but saying that don't P&D have running rights over the sidings as well ??? Now for the showing age bit I remember a Merrymaker from Sheffield in 1973 to Kingswear for a river cruise to Totnes and back Tinsley provided 47173 for the main train and the...

    Paington Pudden and Riveria Rat

Little bit pointless speculating on whats gonna work the tour this far in advance. As long as its blue gets there and back, as the Greggs advert says, ' It'll do for me ' More interesting to see if the rat gets the full load of stock off the main tour, or if P&K stock is gonna be used. The...
