You would need to speak to the vendor, in this case Southern. You may need to apply for a refund on the dud ticket and purchase a new one from a ticket office to use in the meantime.

You can buy any UK rail ticket (and Irish ticket) at any UK railway station. However, you may not get voucher packs / leaflets etc that come with some rovers (Freedom of Wales springs to mind)
