I tried travelling to Newquay today from Plymouth. The service had been suspended mid journey and my connecting train from PAR-NQY was cancelled. Alternative transport was available (Taxis/buses) from PAR but i'd miss my appointment and it'd be difficult getting home again in case...
NR Reporting a person has been hit by a train at PAD and an initial trespass incident at Belper has become another person hit by a train.
PAD incident is 10 minute delay and climbing, whilst the Belper incident is an hour.

A few that i know off, Devonport Dockyard still has access to the Plymouth - Saltash line (pops out I think just before Weston Mill Viaduct, albeit, rarely used) however there is still a working, internal rail system within the dockyard. Theres a book written about the history here...
What constitutes 'Line side Equipment' when TOC's often quote it as a reason for delays/canx to services?
You often hear of Signal Failures, but surely the signals are line side equipment too?
