Yeah. Their was very little communication at Newcastle or York.......a mix of guessing, using Real Time Trains, and knowing other people on trains from Newcastle helped me.
But i'm nerdy enough with no real rush to get home, 2 understand/take an educated guess.
Which took 2.5 hours. But was actually comfortable.
Bit chaotic at York, but a random Lumo started from/departed York at 16.11......empty, save myself and about 8 others on carraige B.
Yes. Queue outside the station. 3 buses left, i'm at the front of the queue. They are trying to book more, will be 2hr 30m journey to York though (if any more turn up).
I have a RENFE train from Madrid Atocha to Seville with Cercanías Combinado on the ticket (and AVE if it helps).
Can i get from Airport T4 to Atocha on this ticket for free? Its only €2.60 anyway, more the hassle of buying a ticket.
Correct. Have hotel booked in city centre, but i really hate driving long distances if i can avoid it. Was asking if via Birmingham or other places on Midland Main Line/ East Coast main line would be valid/suitable.

Thanks, had not considered the via Reading & Manchester route. Would...
I Need to travel to Liverpool from London on the 9th April. Booking engines won't sell me a suitable itineray, any advice for quickest route, and routeing options.
Have an off peak ticket. Can be in London from around 8am. The earlier i get to Liverpool, the better.
I'm hoping they have enough buses this Saturday. West Ham/Arsenal home games, plus a few others in London.
The A12 is pretty horrendous on a Saturday daytime too. What works are being done that necessitate such a wide ranging closure? I had hoped this would be much reduced post Crossrail.
But the commuter numbers (80-95%) would work from home.
Leisure travellers trying to reach events. Need to use train, or use alterantives to train?
They will close over Xmas at times? Just saying a bit more Cost Benefit Analysis may need doing. Always going to disrupt. But if most commuters...
Yeah. It was astoundingly bad today. For non regular rail users, their future custom is lost.
Quite a bit of this should have been foreseen. Tottenham, West Ham, Rugby SF all kicking off around 3pm (plus Lord Mayor's show earlier)......and i have no doubt others can point to more London events...
Yes, it was usually annoying but quick onto buses.
Today i felt sorry for staff dealing with issues.......and passengers that clearly missed 3pm kick offs, amomgst other things.
I was kinda lucky to be on a longer journey and not time constrained per se....
Today was an absolute disaster on Greater Anglia.
I queued for 90 mins at Ingatestone for a rail replacement. West Ham, Tottenham, RLWQ Semi @ Arsenal..........seemed to have caught them by surprise?
I had this issue at Chelmsford this morning. Ticket would not print inward journey, had already queued 20 mins due to multiple machines not working. Barrier person let me through.
They printed at Liv St, but had an a slightly jobworth ticket inspector at Liv St.
But, i get really annoyed with...
