    I'm not sure if going from london to colchester in the morning is peak (it would be peak if going the other way, as I'd be aiming to arrive in colchester at around 0820)

    I am going down to kent on one day, but am not sure if I will be travelling back one evening (off peak) or the next morning (peak). If I buy an off peak return (return valid one month after purchase) will I be able to excess the return portion to a peak.
