Hello,
I'm looking to book tickets on this route (between Penrith and Northampton - with obvious changes en-route), however it looks to be that Avanti timetables for this weekend have not been confirmed yet?
I understand they are more 'short notice' than they were before Covid & the Northern...
Does anyone know what's going to happen with buses when the road between the temporary bridge and the northside roundabout in Workington is closed? Basically I need to get to Dunmail Park on Saturday. Will probably just walk it frm the bus station if its an alright day, but wanted to know just...
Would have to go via carlisle anyway - no trains between Whitehaven and Barrow on Sundays. First train out of Whitehaven is just before 1pm, next at roughly half 4, last one is late evening.
Yeah, On Chrome i tried to load the thread but it said it had a redirect loop. Working fine now, though there are 30 pages missing? When i came on here last night i could have sworn there were 932 pages :/
Click on a profile name, click "user lists" just below the name on the next page, click "add to ignore list", and Bob is probably not your uncle - the posts from the user are hidden.
Ah right, will sort something out i guess. I only got asked if i wanted to go tonight, if i'd have known earlier i would have saved up some money for it haha!
Thanks for the help :)
Ah that's great, thanks very much! Will try and cram on to the 1155 from carlisle. How close does it get to the airport?
edit: I've just looked on google maps, looks like it goes right past the airport?
Are there any service buses that run close to the airport at carlisle on sundays? My train ticket from whitehaven to carlisle is not far off half the price of the city centre shuttle!
Any chance the extra carriage could form an extra service on a Sunday so you don't have to wait for 5 hours in Carlisle after leaving a hotel to get the first train back at 3pm? That's quite a busy train (although very quiet... ;))
In all seriousness, The extra carriage will come in useful...
Newbury is a conservative seat (and has been for about 10 years now - previously Lib Dem. Labour have a tiny amount of support in that constituency), and the world headquarters of Vodafone are there. They also have the racecourse. At the moment a large part of the town centre is being...
If they can get from West Cumbria to London via the outskirts of Manchester in less than 4 1/2 hours, then they may have a good idea, Otherwise it would just be quicker to go up to Carlisle and get the Pendolino down.
Going back to the E300's on other routes, last year i saw a Carlisle Citi branded E300 on the 600 in Whitehaven. Can't remember which one though. I've quite like seeing deckers on the 30/31, when the E300's shuffle off i think Deckers would be a good replacement, there are certainly some...
The wetherspoons is opposite the Bus station. I can't remember if there are any places close to the station itself, but the Wetherspoons posted above is on the edge of the town centre, about 10/15 minutes walk from the station.
