Recently I have noticed on the gWr website they offer weekend first class upgrades, and give a rough price guide (based on the number of zones you pass through).
I am travelling on CrossCountry in a few Saturdays time, and see also they offer weekend upgrades, however, do not...
From the "FGW-gWr announcement" thread in the "General" forums, it appears only that one rake will be in the gWr green due to the impending move, despite it still being a couple of years away...

Travelled on a XC Turbostar today (first time on a 170 since '03!). Must say, the seats are considerably more comfy than the voyager seats. Surprised, however, the refurbs didn't include an easier way to identify seats/reservations!
After Watching "World's busiest railways" on BBC2 this week, I think we should have a similar System: "NNXXXX" plastered large on every coach, N being the date of manufacture, and X being the coach manufacture number :P
(Or maybe we already do in fine print somewhere, eh!)
