Bit of business happening at the up end at Adlington today. Last sunday was foliage clearance. Anyone know why they demolished the brand new shelters at Adlington and replaced them again?

Is there still going to be a 'weak bridge' weight restriction on the lostock bridge once them work's been completed?

This morning I noticed three more sets of uprights on the down side of buckshaw parkway. can't recall them being there yesterday? They're in between the station and the bridge.

seems bizarre to just replace one? both are knackered and have load limiting bollards on them. Can't see them having another period of closre to replace the Preston line bridge...

Not been to Salford Central in a week. Weird seeing trains running through platforms 3/4. Also spotted some uprights between Buckshaw and Chorley tunnel - 4 on each side?

I think there were some masts up between Bolton and Lostock or between Horwich and Lostock - can't remember. maybe 10 or so. Not sure if this has already been reported.

Hiya Ballast train parked up at Adlington this morning. Think i saw a 66 with wagons pulling OHLE uprights between Chorley and Adlington? I could be mistaken as i was on a coach on the A6 400 yards away...

Just been on the train between Adlington and Buckshaw and my train stopped at Chorley. Twice. They let a bunch of people off at the temporary platform and then pulled up to the refurb platform and let a load of people on.:lol: Pretty sure I saw three piles south of Adlington two on the up...

noticed the pilings too this morning. Apparently people were complaining of a strange noise in the vicinity of Queens Park during the night for a few nights. It's on Bolton News website. Now wash your hands.

May have missed it, but is there work between Bolton and the Crescent this weekend? Buses between Bolton and Vic, et al. It's been buses between Preston and Bolton then trains all the way in, thus far.
