Hi all, What kind of work is taking place at Doncaster Wabtec nowadays? i've passed a couple of times and the shunter seems quite busy, or are they just shunting for shuntings sake? I know there's a rake of GBRf hoppers in there... What goes on there? Ta!

I was on the HST, it was the XC Edinburgh train. Probably put it on 15 due to stranded units blocking normal platforms.

It ran to Doncaster extremely early due to a points failure near Pontefract, it went via Hare Park so the signaller wanted it out of the way.

Seems to be a common (well I say common, they seem reliable to me) fault on 185's.

VolkerRail took over GrantPlant some time ago, they own a variety of OTM's (on track machines) over the country. Up north it seems Doncaster, Wakefield Kirkgate and Holbeck (although someone would have to verify that) seem to be places where they are stabled.
