hello fella, if you want freight times the best place is freightmaster, failing that try the yahoo gen groups, there are not that many workings and once you have picked up on the headcodes should be fairly easy to follow, as for tours, try http://www.uksteam.info/index.htm and...
would be very wary of only allowing 6 mins at inverness for your connection, only has to be slightly delayed or the train to aberdeen running late and you have missed your sleeper, why not have 3-4 hours at inverness instead, look at the depot have something to eat, see the sleeper stock shunted...
East midlands parkway will work, although if you really want to sell it to the public IMO , i would encourage the use of both derby and chesterfield if they have vehicles, you could possibly offset this by offering free parking for anyone that has a ticket from nottingham, i am not up to date on...
ok so the sleeper service needs to be subsidised, in the business world it is not uncommon for companies to take on contracts where they actually loose money, as daft as it sounds it keep the work force operational, and the loss of one part can be offset quite easily against more profitable...
reports in today's newspapers suggest that the government are planning to privatise royal mail, if this happens what do you think the future of rail hauled mail will be?, we know they have the infrastructure to a certain extent and i know there was a lot of interest when royal mail stopped there...
i will go and get a ticket, what i meant was i wont be starting at corby, they struggled to cope last time from east mids although to be fair they did do there best ,if they get the same turnout, corby will think its carnival day , i will just get on a bit further up the line
we will see how much climate change matters when they have to pay for it and not us! if it was such a major priority i cant help but think that they would have moved quickly to get electric trains running the birmingham - scotland services over an electrified line already in place, if they did...
really have to watch the lights on platforms 1 , 2 and 5 and be prepared to hop platforms, again the photos are not clean due to all the gantrys and various platform furniture but in the right instance can actually add to the scene IMO, as for the two centre platforms, you can get clean shots...
like i said it was an off chance conversation, if it had been someone at the end of a platform i would probably have dismissed it, the impression i got was that FGW were after some of there units and if its true, and they are instigating it, then the only rational idea i can think of is that...
an off chance conversation last week, revealed that due to its success there is a 2nd loco hauled diagram on the holyhead - cardiff route being considered, there was also a comment made about ATW being in discussion about a possible exchange with First great western involving one or two hst sets...
i dont know about pushchairs, me and my partner couldnt even find space for our suitcase the other day, doesnt fit under the seats, doesn't fit in the over head rack, and the pathetic excuse for a luggage compartment was spilling onto the floor with only a half full train, dumped it on a seat...
I am afraid you have it in all walks of life, fish are miraculously a couple of lb heavier, the golf round was a couple less when you get in the bar and the women in the pub is only a size 12 , honest
i live about 3 miles from coalville and the line would be a welcome boost if it ever came about, the last report in the local paper for it being sidelined was to do with the 20 + million it would take to upgrade the line and not the daily running costs which would pay for themselves, public...
you will be ok in birmingham, london midland will get you out to bescot for a few locos (20 mins from brum), if you can get to walsall for 1300 (5 mins past bescot) you will see the 70 if it is working and on time, you wont be able to get to water orton on LM although for the amount of trains...
