First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Some of these new links go back a long way. The 13 in Bath ran from Elmhurst to Foxhill for years and the 376 first connected Bristol and Yeovil in about 1989.

    Man United FC Station

I used to get these to Old Trafford quite often. One stand out memory was on New Year's Day 2001 when a Class 101 showed up at Cheadle Hulme running through to MUFC.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

There are plenty of 400 MMCs already in Stagecoach livery that could be transferred in their place. Very strange!

Catch a bus to Hanley every 1 hour 20 minutes. I’m sure it will catch on!

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Worth noting also that a few E400 MMCs have been moved to other Stagecoach subsidiaries which in turn has led to new Bee Network vehicles taking their place at depots like Stockport and Hyde Rd.

    Transdev Blazefield

The local maps have disappeared from the website as well eg Blackburn, Burnley and Rossendale networks. It’s a shame as this was something Transdev were really good at. Regarding physical leaflets none were available at Blackburn bus station when I passed through the other week. The desk...

Bee Network - list of franchises awarded (Tranche 3 included)

Stockport depot. The list at the top of this thread predates the introduction of the 379 in 2020. Notice the 312 isn't on the list and the 328 is on there for example. 1711709948 I'm still a little surprised that the 313 and 368 are under the Wythenshawe franchise. If a Stockport route was to be...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

A lot of E400 MMCs have moved from Middleton to Stockport presumably to replace some of the 20 reg Stockport examples that are now on Bee Network livery.

    TfGM Tranche 3 speculation

First were quite happy with a small franchise in tranche 2 though (Rochdale).

    TfGM Tranche 3 speculation

The 50 may not serve Wythenshawe but it’s only 2 miles from Sharston depot to the Parrs Wood terminus.

    TfGM Bus franchising

https://www.railwaymedia.co.uk/Timetables/GM001/n-gnh7MF Yes, rerouted from Castle Hill on 30th July 2000. Back on topic and the list of franchised routes is a few years old so routes like 312 and 371 in Stockport don't appear. The 347 missing is quite a big omission though and the 103 is also...

    TfGM Tranche 3 speculation

Yes that's true. I think the 11 would be a better bet from Wythenshawe if they needed to move a route from Stockport.

    TfGM Tranche 3 speculation

The 313 and 368 are both Daw Bank routes. I wonder why they would switch to Wythenshawe.

There are also over 100 Enviro 400s which are 08 reg.

Former station names still in use today

Plenty of people still call Stockport Station "Edgeley Station." There is a lovely piece of wall art at Shaw Heath just near the Edgeley entrance. Shaw Heath https://maps.app.goo.gl/De9U2q7DtEK5wGTu8

Bus restoration blog - former North Western KJA299G

The bus looks great and it rode well at the North Western centenary event. I’m not old enough to remember North Western but I do remember this vehicle turning up on my school bus for Bullock’s of Cheadle.
