Is there an issue with the bus wash at Metroline Wythenshawe? Their buses often look dirty especially compared to identical Stagecoach E200 MMCs at Stockport.

I was giving examples of services which head out of the interchange in that direction. I’m not suggesting they all use the same stand.

Stand Q would be better suited to those services which head out in that direction eg 42, 23, 197.

If you stand just outside the main building ( by the aldi car park!!) you can see the hills.

Are Diamond short of vehicles? The 309/310 were always operated by a new Mellor strata or occasionally a Fiat Ducato until recently. Now there are some rather tired looking Diamond liveried Mellor Stratas and an occasional Optare Solo.

The 313 used to have 160 seats per hour (Enviro 400s with 80 seats). Now there are 74 seats per hour (E200 MMCs with 37 seats and sometimes even less with short E200 MMCs) That’s over a 50% reduction in the number of seats.

The closure of the A555 was a killer last week causing gridlock on the other local roads to get to the airport. The other issue seems to be that the route is now being run from Wythenshawe and not Stockport so when things go wrong it’s harder to get back on track. Those traffic lights at the end...

None of this is helping the 313 timetable. Added to the fact that double deckers have been replaced by single deckers. This morning a short Enviro200 was full and standing and displaying out of service as it ran into Stockport 45 minutes late!

The 313 seems to be struggling due to the closure of the A555 airport link road. Given the small percentage of passengers who actually travel to the airport would it be worth terminating at Grove Lane again while the A555 is closed?

I noticed this week that the Ashton buses seemed filthy.

A few hybrids have arrived at Stockport in recent days. I’m not sure what they have replaced.

Most 42b journeys south of Bramhall would be almost empty especially on a Sunday. From Bramhall through Cheadle Hulme it always seems to me to be carrying a decent load and I’m sure warrants double deckers.
