The trains are so busy its all about providing capacity, and on paper at least 3x350/2's is the highest capacity train that can be provided by the operator. In reality many of the middle seats are not used and the actual number of passengers seated would probably be comparable with putting 3...
It matters in as much as its an oddball when it comes to staff training, equipment, technical support etc. A single download card for the system costs north of £200 compared to a USB stick compatible with the Darec system on the other 350's and cloud based software on the 730's for example. The...
Indeed, internal refurbishment such as new carpets and seat covers, new PIS screens, units made DCO ready like the other sub-classes and so on. The first 10 mark 2's delivered were all brought in with no forward facing TV, this was retrofitted but the 2's as a whole all use internal CCTV hard...

Would also guess that gangwayed stock is less desirable than non-gangwayed in the current climate.
Everything seems to have been pulled forward a couple of weeks.

10th November is the date now for planned introduction onto the Trent Valley...
The release program was tied in with the acceptance programme for the 730/2's, ie 1 for 1. The problem was that the 730's haven't come along as quickly as the dates that the 350's were committed to return so there is an imbalance at the moment whereby more have gone back than new trains...
