TPE don't have the ability to print paper seat reservations for services that start at Leeds. So on a recent journey, despite having the wheelchair space reserved there was no indicator showing this. (There's no electronic indicator in wheelchair spaces on 185s.)
Their customer services say:

Can anyone shed light on why yesterday's 1808 TransPennine service from York to Micklefield (calling at Ulleskelf) was replaced by a rail replacement bus?
What's puzzling is that other trains were still running past Ulleskelf, including TransPennine, and the station remained open throughout...
In Switzerland, under their Disability Discrimination Law (BeHiG) the SBB has committed to making all stations "barrier free" (step free access to the platforms and level boarding onto trains.
Despite admirable resource expenditure, it hasn't reached that yet. So they made a commitment.
And...
I'm at Crianlarich where my train to Oban is delayed due to a 66 blocking the down loop having been derailed on trap points. Staff tell me the driver got a token but didn't set the ground frame.
I travelled the Up Night Riviera last night. RealTime Trains says that whilst I was asleep, there was some shenanigans at Reading with two trains being combined?!
Main Train: 1A50 2145 Penzance to London Paddington Departing on 14th March 2024
"Extra" Train: 0A50 0349 Reading to Reading...
I'm on the Pullman 1303 Paddington to Plymouth. We are being held for an indeterminate period due to a broken train at Thatcham.
The broken down train appears to be 1K12 387156 1205 Paddington to Newbury (link is to RealTime Trains), which has been cancelled at Thatcham.
Does anybody have any...

As a wheelchair user often left without my wheelchair or my body being secured on such coaches, I do wonder what would have happened if I was unsecured on that one.
I hope all involved are as okay as possible and recuperate soon.
On 1P93 TPE between Mirfield and Leeds. GBRF engineering train 6U87 has failed across the points at Altofts Junction, thus blocking the Normanton to Woodlesford curve AND the Normanton to Castleford line.
After some planning, driver changed ends and is taking us back towards Huddersfield. He...
I'm on the northbound Sleeper to Fort William, approaching Spean Bridge.
Somewhat of a shock: the fire alarm went off. No sign of fire in the accessible cabin, so I hit the "call host" button. Poor host, she's new - and excellent - and this is her first "red banner".
Turns out a smoke sensor...
I'm stuck on a Eastbound train just outside Selby, ostensibly to Hull, pending Network Rail conducting a safety inspection of the Eastbound line, which is currently blocked with multiple trains waiting.
Does anybody know what has happened, please?
Cheers
I'm on the southbound Sleeper at Rannoch.
We will be here some time, cos there's a freight train broken down on the single line south of us.

1E10 delayed at York today whilst the driver got onto the track and cleared the snow from the horn, using hot water from the catering trolley. (several cups and then a jug)
On Monday, the Office of Rail and Road published legal advice that nearly every Rail Replacement Vehicle must be wheelchair accessible, and that train operating companies are at risk of criminal prosecution if they run inaccessible ones.
Given so few available vehicles are wheelchair...
Does anybody know please, roughly how much notice TOCs generally get of planned possessions etc.? The notice they have for planning alternative diagrams / transport, staffing, warning passengers etc.
Thank you
This British Rail ticket was being used as a bookmark in a book donated to the charity shop in which I work.
A second class single from Leeds to Menton was 70p. The equivalent ticket today is £4.60.
There's no year on this ticket.
Anybody hazard a guess?
A senior manager in Caledonian Sleeper has emailed me to explain a few things.
Comment: I defy anybody to find on the Caledonian Sleeper website or in any of their literature, the fact that wheelchair users traveling in the accessible double on the Fort William service have no access to the...
Hi,
Am I right in thinking please, that there's no "reverse" of the day-long single leg journey from Aberdeen to Penzance? I think from Realtime Trains, that the reverse "only" goes Penzance to Dundee, not to Aberdeen, but would appreciate confirmation - thank you.
Am I also right in thinking...
At the moment, under the Pubic Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations, all buses that operate to a schedule and that carry any person or persons for whom payment has been made by somebody to anybody for their right to travel, are obliged to be wheelchair accessible. (Bar the 20-day-a-year...
Please does anybody happen to know the current disposition of HST train / Class 43 locos + Mark 3 coaching sets NL65 and EC64? I thought they were only in use by VTEC whilst their Mark 3/4 stock was being refurbished, originally borrowed from EMT then returned, but I'd love confirmation.
It's...
